Wuttisan Wongtalay killed 11-month-old Beta at an abandoned hotel close to the international airport in Phuket yesterday afternoon.
Lieutenant Jullaus Suvannin, who was ane of the start on the scene, said they found a smartphone propped up confronting a wall at the scene.
He said: 'They had already died when I arrived in that location.'
